Chris Buescher wins his third race in the last 5 weeks at Daytona, it's taken a while but he is finally living up to the expectations set on him 7-8 years ago.

Bubba Wallace claims the final playoffs spot on points. Chase Elliott, Alex Bowman, Daniel Suarez, Austin Cindric and Ty Gibbs among those who won't compete for a championship this year. Martin Truex Jr claims the regular season championship.

Sounds like Preece is gonna be seeing tweety bird flying around his head for a couple days, but other than that, he's gonna be good. Words from the man himself...

I have seen several fans, and earlier the drivers, express their thoughts about the latest generation of the Cup car. Now i saw Preece doing a barrel roll, like we haven't seen in ages. The car should stay on the ground.

There is, nor will there ever be, a fool-proof plan to keep a racing vehicle going at high speeds from getting airborne, no matter how many safety features you throw at it. That's just motorsport. All you can do is make sure when it happens the driver doesn't end up crippled or dead.

They do need to look at the roof hatch though, it opened after the very first impact

Kyle Larson locks himself into the Round of 12 after winning the Southern 500. It was the 500th win by a car carrying a Hendrick Engine in NASCAR.
