The shape of the car doesn't help either.

Emilio de Villota, your yellow Lotus 78 was a beauty, your Williams FW07 with those stripes...not so much!

Looks like Alfa Romeo just kicked a tin of luminous green paint all over the front and rear wings. Not impressed.

Probably the worst livery to win the BTCC title. Vic Lee Motorsport in 1992 with Tim Harvey.
The team folded at the end of the season because team owner got busted for smuggling cocaine However that wasn't the last BTCC saw of him anyway.

It wasnt the last time the the courts and judiciary system saw of him either. He was nicked again for possession of commercial quatities of Columbia's best along with a briefcase full of cash.... and got sentenced to another lengthy stay in jail.
His story is quite interesting and documented here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=7332&p=100578&hilit=Drugs#p100578

I saw Jerry "Mahone"y was implicated in the Vic Lee scandal. Is it the same as the BTCC driver Jerry Mahony? His prison sentence was 11 years and the story broke 16 years ago so I presume he's out now.Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑5 months agoIt wasnt the last time the the courts and judiciary system saw of him either. Yeah I believe Mahoney was involved in the second of Vic Lee's episodes which would have been in the mid noughties.PTRACER wrote: ↑4 months agoI saw Jerry "Mahone"y was implicated in the Vic Lee scandal. Edit: Yeah I looked up in the post linked above and here is the relevant to "VL part 2" from what I wrote back at the time.
Full post, which includes the Whittington Bros and other similar incidents here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=7332&p=100578&hilit=Drugs#p100578Vic Lee, boss of Vic Lee Racing Ltd (VLR) was one of four men found in possession of the drugs at the Holiday Inn in High Wycombea couple of years ago. Lee was also found to have £19,000 in cash in his vehicle.
Now 51, Lee has received the longest of the four sentences relating to this latest drug offence. Along with his fellow defendants, he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking offences. He also pleaded guilty to offences contrary to the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
Jerry Mahoney (49), Managing Director of a corporate entertainment company and himself a former BTCC competitor, was sentenced to eleven years for his involvement in the same case. His assets, along with Lee's, have been restrained, and confiscation proceedings will follow.
The other two men to be sentenced are Jonathon Wheatley (33), who gets nine years after £5000 worth of cocaine and £54,000 in cash were found at his home address, and Nicholas Alan Atkins (21), who gets six and a half.

Sorry Williams but that LUMINOUS GREEN NOSE CONE?
If it's flow-vis paint, I understand. I do like how the air box looks like a Duracell battery though.

It is flow-viz paint for sure. I remember the photo from an article about aero efficiency at the start of pre season testing last year. This pic was on day 1 and many cars had equal amounts of flow-viz in various parts of their cars.Nononsensecapeesh wrote: ↑3 months ago

Yes, its not like it is specifically targeted prejudicially against any specific community segment in the social network such as gays or IV drug users.... it targets the overall aim of controlling AIDS across the whole community. To me it shows condoms as being of dual benefit, and more than just a contraceptive method as we had certainly in those days become conditioned to them being. It highlights the fact that unlike say the pill which is ineffective in control of STD's, it was both a contraceptive and a protective device.
By the same token, especially for single women, I recall at the time that the pill carried an element of promiscuity encouraging, coupled with no protective properties against STDs.

Compared to last year, this livery is a letdown for the Peugeot 9X8, those streaks of that particular shade of green do not make for a good colour scheme.
