My graphics card died

The gaming card I bought as a present to myself for finishing Uni died earlier this week. Great timing, because there's a global chip shortage and the cheapest graphics cards out there in the current generation are US$700-$800

Is anyone following the progress of graphics card prices? I'm wondering whether I should spend the equivalent of a month's rent + all my bills + a bit more just to be able to game on my PC

Thanks for nothing, crypto people!

I've been following as well. My card has two in-built fans and one died recently. The other is plugging away, but will no doubt give up soon. And summer is coming... My budget would only be something like AUD$200. But that basically gets me the same card as my 8-9 year old one!

Crypto people and scalpers!

Card makers are trying to get cards back into the hands of gamers by making them a bit more rubbish at crypto-mining, but the prices haven't fallen sufficiently. That said, if I don't get one soon, I am going to go mad with boredom.

Web streaming?

I'm a full blown cheapskate and I'm watching free streaming via some Australian sites. Currently into Travel Man with Richard Ayoade :P.

You might as well buy a lottery ticket while your luck is hot like that.

the Zotac GTX 1660 Ti is a quite affordable card, silent and I have no problems since 3 years and 10 month of use.
