Genoa Racing in 1987 F3000 season with March 87B Ford Cosworth DFV.

After Ivan Capelli won the title the year before all the know-how moved into his F1 ambitions. Leyton House stayed as sponsor but the #1 car was a musical chairs between Alessandro Santin, Jacques Villeneuve, Sr, Corrado Fabi, Michel Ferte and Eliseo Salazar. They also expanded to a two-car operation for no apparent reason and fielded Gregor Foitek for most of the season in the #2.

#1 car's best finish of 1987 was 11th at Birmingham SuperPrix (Ferte, pictured below). Hell, it was the only time #1 finished a race. It also had 2 DNF & 5 DNQ.

The Toyota Supra Turbo from the 1988 British Touring Car Championship, driven by then-reigning Champion Chris Hodgetts, Mark Hales, Ian Flux and Vic Lee. Only scored twice in 12 races, each time in Hodgetts' hands, with the best result being 3rd in the penultimate round at Donington. Mark Hales even failed to qualify the car for the ultimately cancelled Birmingham race.

I always found the story behind that one interesting. 43 seconds slower in qualifying over a 3 minute lap but still allowed to start.

Actually the 1959 Sebring race was amateur hour. 6 out of 19 qualifiers were 30 seconds a lap slower than pole-sitter Moss!

Nobody cared about "qualifying" at the time.

Still staggering when you really think about it though.

When "you really think about it", you realize you can't judge it by today's standards. People practiced (in the true sense of the word) in those days, and didn't care much about lap times.

Point taken. I have nothing more to say on the matter.
