"Welcome" PM for new members

I have installed a modification which sends a private message to new users upon logging in for the first time.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to write besides the usual "Welcome" and "Thanks for signing up"? I'm hoping to use the system to encourage new members to stay

I liked the post you made about 'where to start' or whatever it was. Maybe just let them know there are multiple race series (and history, etc) discussed, and they're encouraged to join in, contribute to the community, play the games, etc.

Link them to the thread you posted yesterday with the threads for newcomers.

Something like:

"Hello welcome to the forum, here are some threads you may enjoy posting in..."
