Bottom post of the previous page:

Bear in mind some weren't developed. I'd cross-reference that info with this site here:

Had been working on Barcelona... Yes, but sadly i did not get it working in a way that it is easy to use for more tracks. I do a complete overhaul now. The way how the page is build changes.

How it is: You come at the basic page > Barcelona 2007. And then you can go to all the variants in ONE period.

How i want it to be: You come at the basic page > Barcelona 2016! And then you can go to all the variants. And when you go to for instance Moto GP circuits, it will show one page with all the changes through the years.

So i turn it around. Not One period > all variants, but one variant > all the changes through the years.

Updated Baku to a more accurate version now that I've seen the track in action.

I`m currently reading the biography 'Sox' - Gary Hocking , the forgotten World Motorcycle Champion by Roger Hughes.
In this book, Roger writes about Gary's races in South Africa and it appears that the Roy Hesketh circuit had a slightly different layout originally. I`ll post the matching quote from the book on Monday when (hopefully) the new scanner has arrived and for now add a little graphic.
Image
The added bit, the red line, has been called "The Link" and lead as a 90° corner from the backstraight directly to beacon hill. This first layout has been built to 1.66 miles.

Thought the databasers would be interested in this bit of info. Also please excuse my inexisting drawing skills.

EDIT. Reading it again, The Link must have been further down towards BP as it says "The Link led to the rise of Beacon Hill". I`m too early with my line as it ends at the top of Beacon Hill already

Here's the corresponding text from 'Sox' Gary Hocking - the forgotten Motorcycle World Champion page 37. I have found some more descriptions of former South African/Rhodesian circuits so give me a shout if you want more of these descriptions.

Thanks, I'll add it to the list. Found a picture on the web showing the two layouts. Looks like there was an extension planned at Quarry Bend as well as the bigger loop that was build.

I'm always interested in layouts and tracks not in the database, just drop a line in here and I'll make a note. May take a while until I get around to it though ;-)

Mexico City is ready to go up on the site. Graphics are in the folder, for stats see the text file of the same name. Tried to follow your organising scheme with the file names, hope it helps a bit. All old tracks have plenty of layouts that add up quickly with all the changes through the years.

Here's a preview for you all until Erwin puts it up on the site.

Good work guys.

I'm going to try and get the site added to Google's index in the coming days. For some reason our site doesn't come up when you search for the racing circuits.

Buddh International added, the modern tracks are easy just 5 layouts this time around.

3 more to go and we'll have caught up with F1, Silverstone among them though that's going to be a handful with 50 years of variations . I hope your html template works well Erwin, lots of pictures for that track.

After a quick look at Spa on google shows not has much changed except the last corner. So you only need to add another timestep from the year they build the terrible chicane to now, with GP, Sportscar, Bikes(if they still run them) and Kart layouts.

Generally I'd move proposals into their own sub section similar to yearly changes.

As for Österreich/A1/RedBull Ring I'll wait until the extensions are compete to update. Use the latest A1 layout for now, the only difference is the pit entry anyway.

Hopefully you're too far done with Barcelona yet. Someone decided to hold the Rallycross championship there. Which means another timestep (2015 to present), adding 2 additional pages (RX layout and zoomed RX layout) to the others. Copy and rename the most current layout for the 2015 pages and leave the 2 new ones empty. I'll add the right versions once I'm done with the missing F1 tracks.
