Picks & Mix Game 2024 Round 5 China [+ RESULTS]

It's been a while since we were last there but we're heading back to China for a race. The last time F1 raced there was back in 2019. It is also the first sprint race weekend for the season as well so the bonus selection for this round reflects that.


Here are your usual five main picks

1. Who will start the race from 13th place on the grid? Guess correctly and you score 10 points, if your pick starts in either 12th or 14th, you score 5 points.

2. Who will be the last driver on the starting grid? (pit lane starts don't count) 10 points for the correct driver.

3. Which driver will get the fastest lap? 10 points for the correct driver.

4. Who will be the first pointless driver? In other words, who will finish the race in 11th place? 10 points for the correct driver, 5 points if your driver finishes 10th or 12th.

5. How many cars will DNF? 10 points if you are correct.


Bonus Pick
Which driver will just miss out on a podium in both the sprint race and the main race? In other words, who will finish in 4th place?
10 points if you get either driver correct, get both correct and you'll get a bonus 10 points.

Here we are then, the result for China. The first race with a Sprint race in it this season. The big question is, how well did we all do? Keep reading and you will find out, though I wouldn't get too excited as this wasn't at all a high scoring round for the most part


1. 13th on the grid: Ocon. Nope, no one got that, maybe we did better on 12th and 14th? 12th Ricciardo and 14th Albon Nope, not one of us scored a single point here. What a great start we all got off to, NOT

2. Last starter: Well it was Sargeant after qualifying, but then they had to fiddle with his car causing him to start in the pitlane and deny six of us from scoring points on him. Tsunoda then became the official last starter on the grid and who had him? Again none of us! Wow, this is going great.

3.Fastest Lap: Alonso, well, no one got that either

4. Driver finishing 11th: Ocon No one had that either. 10th Hulkenberg Ruslan and Vassago scored 5 points there and 12th Albon I scored 5 points there. Finally, some points were scored

5. DNFs: 3 Everso Biggyballies, Matt, Monte Cristo and Vassago scored there.

Bonus points:

4th in the Sprint Race: Leclerc. Star was the only one who scored on him.
4th in the Main Race: Leclerc Star and Monte Cristo scored there.

Because Star got both that added on extra 10 points for the double, wow.

Seriously though, I was doing the scores and wondering if any of us were going to score anything at one point! It was really strange.

Happy birthday weekend! As much as I’d like to admit I followed special birthday team orders, what actually happened was I had a bit of a Lance Stroll of a weekend and didn’t get much right!
