FYI, Porsche leads, Toyota second, Alpine third and fourth. Just a pleasure to watch these cars.

Yes, it's a travesty that this isn't the pinnacle of motorsports. It's everything you could ask for, including room for old school ingenuity that allows the Pug to hang with the winged cars despite having no wing.

Yep, I have it playing on the big screen at home and will watch until the GP gets close to starting.
Re the Pug I would love to see it win in this wingless set up. I think this might be the last race for it wingless, before they get the new update on track

Yeah, the commentators mentioned that this is its last race, which took me by surprise, but I guess they meant the last race for this configuration, now that you say it. Definitely rooting for it to win too now!Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑2 months ago Yep, I have it playing on the big screen at home and will watch until the GP gets close to starting.

Yes for sure its the last race for this configuration, and not the last race for Peugeot. They were in the process of testing and getting a final spec for a winged version finalised before getting the new updates homologated.... and then an event or two to get it sorted in time for Le Mans.SBan83 wrote: ↑2 months agoYeah, the commentators mentioned that this is its last race, which took me by surprise, but I guess they meant the last race for this configuration, now that you say it. I thought for some reason this race would be six hours but seems like it's closer to 12 hours. Hard (for me) to stay tuned into a race that long unless it's Le Mans, but glad the rest of the races are all six hours (except Le Mans of course, and Bahrain).

Beauty. Now all I need is an extra set of eyes! got one running on the computer and the GP on TV
Albon having engine issues
Leclerc pits as does Piastri. Has a bit of a fight with Lewis but lost out with cold tyres.

Cant believe the Peugeot slowed to a crawl on the penultimate lap.
Podium lost on the final lap.Pissed off after they had run so strongly all race. All I heard was no power.
I hope it wasnt no power because it had run out of fuel. Sad

And probably won't get classified. It did not reach Parc Fermé under its own power. (Toyota 2016 vibes)Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑2 months ago Cant believe the Peugeot slowed to a crawled on the penultimate lap.

It seems it was a lack of fuel issue. Peugeot believe it was a fuelling issue in the last splash and dash they did. The car was crawling because it was moving purely on the hybrid power.erwin greven wrote: ↑2 months agoAnd probably won't get classified. It did not reach Parc Fermé under its own power. The No. 93 Peugeot 9X8 of Jean-Eric Vergne, Nico Mueller and Mikkel Jensen appeared to be on course to finish second behind race winners Porsche Penske Motorsport in Saturday’s Qatar 1812km, until Vergne suddenly slowed in the closing minutes before crossing the line in seventh place.
Speaking to reporters gathered after the race, Finot said Peugeot is still working to fully identify and understand the issue, but suspected that a fueling issue was likely to blame for the team’s woes.
Vergne brought the No. 93 Peugeot in for a late fuel stop on lap 318 of the 335-lap contest, which is where the issue likely developed.
“Unfortunately, what happened in the last lap was not scheduled,” said Finot.
“We have to analyze, but I think we had an issue with the fueling of the car when we did the splash and dash. We didn’t have the expected rate of fuel. We have to analyze.”
As a result, Vergne ran out of fuel, with Finot revealing he completed the final lap on hybrid power as the No. 93 crawled to seventh place while a trio of Porsche 963s locked out the podium.
