On board with Colton Herta at Laaguna in Bobby's 1998 car.
I know it was mentioned on the forum a couple of months or more ago that Colton Herta had purchased and restored the 1998 Reynard 98i-Ford/Cosworth his father Bryan drove to victory 25 years ago at Laguna Seca. Having purchased the car and given it to his father for his birthday, the two took the car to Laguna for a playday this week.
Colton wass giving it the beans. Here are those 4 laps through his helmet cam. Oh did I mention I read he did a 1 minute 12 in the car which is not too shabby at all. Just checked and the current qualifying pole record is a high 7, dontt know what year. Last year I think Power topped the grid with a 1:11.6 so yeah Colton was on it. Make sure you watch his last full lap.
I, umm, have very firm feelings about this.

I don't want to be hard on Colton, but I think his suspension was running very stiff.

Yes, I did think myself that it seemed very much one of those maximise the PR moments, from the take off at the end of pitlane with lots of revs, plenty of redline.
Meechanically lacking sympathy was another thought that crossed my mind.
