F2 race in Austria just started in the near dry.... didnt stop Doohan throwing it into the kitty litter on the opening lap. Not the only one though as aruvula did the same and got bogged...... a full SC was deployed. No doubt they will rejoin once unbogged.
Those that started on wets have pitted under the SC to change to slicks.

F2 Sprint Race is about to start.... not sure if its an SC strt or just that the SC is leading them round the formation lap. It doesnt seem that it is actually raining atm.

I had expected better of Hauger. Not surprised that Doohan is in the lower zones, albeit a good weekend jumped him up from 9th going into Silverstone. Martins I thought might be higher, but he seems to be a bit of a point (race position) sapping penalty magnet. Also a bit erratic.
Vesti , Pourchaire and Iwasa seem to be in positions I expected. Perhaps a little surprised Vesti is top after his double zero season start and a few other zeros.
I thought also Bearman might be a closer to 3rd 4th if that makes sense.
FIA Formula 2 - standings after Silverstone: 1. DNK Frederik Vesti (Prema), 135
2. FRA Théo Pourchaire (ART), 129
3. JPN Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS), 111
4. GBR Oliver Bearman (Prema), 88
5. FRA Victor Martins (ART), 88
6. NED Richard Verschoor (Van Amersfoort), 75
7. AUS Jack Doohan (Virtuosi), 72
8. BRA Enzo Fittipaldi (Rodin Carlin), 68
9. BAR Zane Maloney (Rodin Carlin), 66
10. NOR Dennis Hauger (MP), 60

Martins & Doohan made some mistakes so far this season and lost points because of that. Hauger also dropped several points, he crashed out of the lead in Baku and was taken out in Albert Park. Pourchaire has only one win but he avoided "bad" results in basically all races except two IIRC.

Liam Lawson won at Fuji and closed within one point of Ritomo Miyata (who finished 3rd) in the points table. Nojiri was only 8th and Tsuboi 11th so the championship is almost officially a two-horse race now.

Now qualy is close to starting. In fact the clock is ticking. It has started and the cars file out. Looks like it has stopped raining although still damp. It will dry quickly though and looks like some are on slicks others wets.
We have an early yellow for a spinner though. Looks like he has rejoined as its showing clear now.

Red flag for someone in the fence although damage doesnt look too bad Nose is missing and maybe front suspension out of line but he gets going to limp back under the red.
