Noted this little newsbite earlier:

"Ecclestone, whose official title as 'chairman emeritus' of Formula 1 actually expired in January.."

So Lewis pretty much needs 250 points to secure the title if Verstappen wins every race. Second would only secure him 198 points.

If you say so^^^^

Changing the subject there are some real scumbags around.

While Pierre. Gasly has been away from home living in the F1 bubble for the past few weeks with the two Silverstone races and then Spain, he returned home to Normandy after Spain and found his house had been broken into robbed, and trashed...... a host of items, including engraved watches, racing helmets, clothes and jewellery had been taken.

He has appealed for anyone with information to get in touch with him via his social media.

“Some people are really worthless, disrespectful and contemptible,” he said.

I agree.

That sucks a lot. Hopefully only the non-sentimental stuff has been taken, and not items won during competition.

The biggest irony this year is that the championship is being run on some of the best tracks we’ve had in a generation. Hope this will not be a one-off.

Now if only they can quickly asphalt the outer Hockenheim.....

Can I like this comment more than once? For some reason, the "power circuit" was always interesting to me. In actuality, there was always a great slipstream battle at Hockenheim. Unfortunately, it was usually over by mid race, but the low down force cars usually created some drama in the stadium section later on.

There was never a race at the old Hockenheim I did not like. It wouldn't work with DRS though.

Yeah Autosport is now confirming same. Apparently he along with many VIP's took part in a friendly football match hosted at his club and where 60 staff have presented positive as well as the Bologna football coach present at the match.
Briatore's illness comes off the back of a mounting controversy in Italy surrounding the closure of his Billionaire club in Porto Cervo, which has become a hotbed for a virus outbreak.

Around 60 staff members from the club have tested positive following recent tests, while Briatore himself recently participated in a friendly soccer match there with VIPs, including Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, who also tested positive for COVID-19.

With the Italian authorities pushing hard to shut down nightclubs, which have become a key source of outbreaks recently, Briatore recently expressed his anger at such actions.

He posted on Facebook: "My heart weeps to see an economy slaughtered by people who have never done anything in their lives."
