Rate the 2020 Austrian GP
Thoroughly enjoyed that! 45% of the cars DNF'd, which makes it the worst race of attrition in the whole 2010 to 2020 period. I am trying to go back to 2000-2009 period to find a worse race.
EDIT: You have to go back to the 2008 Australian GP to find a worse attrition rate.

Strange race because mercedes looked so dominant until the end when they suffered pverheating problems. Albon confirms he’s the black sheep for hamilton. Leclerc made two spectacular passes. Good first podium for norris. 7 for me

I rated it a 6: Decent race towards the end, but pretty odd results caused by two safety cars and 9 cars dropping out and couple of collisions. Not exactly a classic.

7 because no overtakes for lead (on track).
I am very sorry if you find my posts long and boring, I like to type and often go off on a tangent.

8/10 here. Quite entertaining for the most part. Pity that Max was an early DNF. Didn't doze off even once which is typical, I'm afraid.

8 for me, due to the X-factor which we rarely get. In this case the X-factor was breakdowns and SCs.
Rated purely from an entertainment aspect, and I was entertained.

8, simply because I enjoyed it. I know there weren't much actual racing, but hell was it fun

Yes, but also only 6 starters, so 100% finishing rate.Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑3 years agoOnly 6 finishers at the USGP 2005.PTRACER wrote: ↑3 years ago Thoroughly enjoyed that! 45% of the cars DNF'd, which makes it the worst race of attrition in the whole 2010 to 2020 period. 7. Fun, but fun from chaos rather than actual racing or a change of the lead. Bottas led every lap almost uncontested. Lewis got close, but no-one attempted a pass.

Oh forgot to state my vote, I gave it a 7..... Great finish and early laps but a bit of a yawnfest in the middle. But I was entertained and didnt fall asleep. Probably worth an 8 in retrospect as it was worth a bonus point for it being great to have live F1 again, and I realised just how much I have missed it.

Aus 2002 was memorable for 22 starters half of which did not get to T3, and only 8 finished, some of those several laps down having stopped for repairs. Mark Webber finished 5th in a Minardi because he was so slow off the line the accident was over by the time he got there and threaded his way through.PTRACER wrote: ↑3 years agoYes, but also only 6 starters, so 100% finishing rate.Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑3 years agoOnly 6 finishers at the USGP 2005.PTRACER wrote: ↑3 years ago Thoroughly enjoyed that! 45% of the cars DNF'd, which makes it the worst race of attrition in the whole 2010 to 2020 period. Aus 2002 was a very memorable race for me. I was immediately a Mark Webber fan that day. 2008 Australia also only had 6 finishers (Bourdais and Kimi both broke down within the final few laps and were still classified). Must be the worst finish rate since Monaco 1996 (only 4 cars running at the finish).Everso Biggyballies wrote: ↑3 years agoAus 2002 was memorable for 22 starters half of which did not get to T3, and only 8 finished, some of those several laps down having stopped for repairs. You see, this race today proved that unreliability can cause an unusual result and that is EXACTLY what F1 needs.

I doubt Melbourne could have given a better season opener. Thoroughly enjoyed that one

Felt generous so I gave it an 8 for being a different season opener and factoring in the waiting time to see the cars running. Only gets to score high marks thanks to the rather random safety cars bunching up the field - otherwise it would have been an awful race.
