Bottom post of the previous page:

I feel like this is gonna be a Monaco style of race with no passing, just a procession of cars going around the track. Hope I’m wrong

Latest update. They better get their socks on, they have some races scheduled there the last weekend of this month.

It'll be interesting to see how the smaller cup cars handle the banking.

They run just flat out through it. A pity though. The corner is not that interesting anymore.

The final corner is probably more interesting now. I would have preferred changes to some of those awkward corners around the back of the circuit though.

That’s a steep banking though! I wasn’t expecting it to be that high. I thought it would be something more like that kink they gave Sepang in its last year

Edit: Just realised how close to Amsterdam it is! I stay at a hotel near Noordwijk every year and it’s insanely close. Tempted to go! Anyone going?

Not me. I rather go to any race on Assen. Much cheaper.

Not since I live in Japan, but I have been to Zandvoort before and yep it's really not difficult to commute to. In terms of Dutch towns I have visited though, it doesn't rank very highly

What is the corner where the tragic Williamson accident took place?

Roger crashed at Tunnel Oost. No longer a part of the circuit.

I don't care if the racing sucks - it's a gorgeous circuit and I can't wait to see it driven at pace

So the current F1 track record is Prost’s - a mid 1:15s. Not sure what other elements apart from the banking have changed since then. It will be interesting to see how much faster they’ll go.

The whole part from Hondevlak till Bos-Uit is changed.

Just look at this:

That is the strangest graphic of the changes to Zandvoort post 85 I've ever seen. AFAIK the only changes where T7 to T13 with T1 to exit T6 being the same as the old layout.
