The Aremberg corner looked different.

My view from the Aremberg Bridge. Karl Friedrich von Wendt and Willi Kauhsen finished fifth in this 908 at the 1969 Nurburgring 1000k race.

Yet you were still correct with the Nürburgring. The photo was taken during the 1960 Formula 2 race at the Südschleife

I gotta admit, I had to google that track :suspicious: Which tells you that it's not correct.
But you're right with NA.

It's not Augusta.

But while Michkov was still 2000miles off, you're only 1000 miles off.

As far as I know, the track - at least the road course - does not exist anymore in its original form.

That leaves the American mid west down to the gulf, not that many tracks there at all.

How can it be the American Midwest when it's 2,000 miles from Continental Divide?

W/o looking at a map, I'd say some Northeastern track, maybe even Canada.

Okay, I'll make a guess even though I'm no use at non-oval courses in the US

On second thoughts, the bit about the road course no longer existing suggests an oval of sorts, so maybe Thompson Raceway in Massachusetts?

Very good! These photos are from the late 1950s and show the early road course of the Thompson Speedway.
I have to make one tiny correction. The Thompson Speedway (/International Speedway/Speedway Motorsports Park) and the town with the same name still lies in Connecticut but is bordered by several towns in Massachusetts.

Some footage of the track:

And a video about its track layout history which I just found:
