Rate the 2019 British GP - Even better than Austria?
Honestly, I would say YES. I would actually watch this race again.
I cannot vote any higher than Austria, because it was another easy Mercedes 1-2, but this really kept me on the edge of my seat and it was a bit like a classic GP with real battling, spins, cars in gravel traps and no ridiculous penalties.

7,5 points which changes into 7 points.
Some great passes, not only with DRS.
Sadly the SC and Vettels brain fade took out the excitement at the end of the race.

I gave it a 9. Had me sucked in all race, with great dicing for the lead until the SC, and CLAP v Max was brilliant plus other dices throughout. These last two races have gone a long way towards rekindling my faith in F1. As Paul said to me gravel and grass and not humungous run offs

Considering how bad F1 is right now I give it a 9. It had some lulz over Austria as well.

It was a decent race destroyed by tyres. The pirelli issued a press not before the race saying that the best strategy was a double stopper (red/red/yellow). But of course it was not, and we saw that hamilton made the best time on the very last lap despite a single stopper and also verstappen could have compete for the win if not for race incidents. But the low point is that mercedes stopped bottas way before they should in order to let win hamilton. On the other hand i saw some exceptional driving from leclerc who is now the only reason that makes f1 worth watching.

8 for me. A very good race. One thing that made Austria and Silverstone good was the DRS not being as effective as it normally would, with the straights where they deploy them being shorter than at the Tilkedromes, letting drivers actually defend for a change.

8 from me. I can't think of a corner that didn't see some side by side action at some stage.

The finest compliment I can give is that I didn't even look at the lap counter until lap 28 and thought "Holy hell, 28 laps already?"

8. Great race. There was an actual challenge for the lead in the opening laps. Great stuff from Hamilton and Bottas. Great action through the whole field. I was abit disappointed that Ricciardo could not get past Noris all race long.
Score would have been higher if there was more challenge for the win. Once the safety car stops were over, Hamilton's victory was sealed.

Great race but can't be better than Austria because lead battle was non-existent after the early SC. 7 for me.

Sadly the SC and Vettels brain fade took out the excitement at the end of the race.
Before the SC, it was a 8.5, could have been a 9. But practically every great battle was reversed thanks to the SC, sadly.

Not sure if it's because I'm not a Vettel fan (thanks to him whining about everything and everyone else but himself), but the crash actually added to my excitement. Especially as I was looking forward to Max charging back through.erwin greven wrote: ↑4 years ago Sadly the SC and Vettels brain fade took out the excitement at the end of the race.
Does anyone know why Vettel was going so slowly back to the pits? The car did not appear damaged at all. Would have been better to see him continue with Max.

Front wing damage. Vettel actually did not know if it was still there.

Also, going too fast with a front wing that you don't know will hold up might also mean that it comes loose and falls under the car, causing more problems. I think Seb knew his day was over anyway, so no sense in hauling ass back to the pits.erwin greven wrote: ↑4 years ago Front wing damage. Vettel actually did not know if it was still there.

Definately race of the season and i think LeClerc and Verstappen's overtaking and battling done it for me plus other overtaking battles threw the field , excactly like F1 should be
