Bottom post of the previous page:

Thanks for information!

That means that Hoffmann died on October 13 or 20 as Klingenring hillclimb was held on second or third week of October.

The author of the three Klingenring-Bergpreis books called me this morning. We had an interesting conversation. Ordered all of the books. As soon as they've arrived, I'll let you know the exact date of the event/accident.

@Sedre, @Motorsportrace:

At the end of every month, shall we gather all the new information from the previous 4 weeks in one message, crosscheck it with the newest updates at mm.org and forward whatever is new to Nanni?
What do you say?

Very good idea. However, I prefer to send one message for one case to MM.org, except some cases - we arranged with Nanni about this scheme when I started to work with Motorsport Memorial. And maybe I will work only with car racing fatalities as now.

And one question: you want to gather information only about fatalities happened in that month or anything that we found in this month (year of accident doesn't matter)?

Anything new. Updates (e.g. Neubauers d.o.b.), recent fatalities, new entries from previous years.

We could also send these updates (spectators killed in the 1928 Italian Grand Prix, Monza, Materassi's accident):

viewtopic.php?f=26&t=86&p=337268#p337268

Especially for that "Ormanoglou" guy, whose surname was written in every possible way (mm.org has "Omenognu", "Orsingher", "Obergout" and "Hobergant", while "La Stampa" wrote "Omerroghu").
I'm not sure "Ormanoglou" was his real surname, but at least it seems to exist, and the Corriere Della Sera also wrote his name, the father's name and the street where he lived.

I find that deeply disturbing when the names of fatally injured spectators are researched, and made public! Don't they deserve the right to remain anonymous? I can understand the desire to record the names of drivers, marshals and mechanics who died "in the line of duty", so to speak, but spectators are not in it for fame, money or function, they merely spectate - hence the name! It's very insensitive to put their names out in the open of the internet; they didn't die partaking in or serving the sport, they just watched it. How would you feel if you were researching your grandparents on the internet, and the only thing you find is how your grandmother died when hit by an out of control racing car? That's just terrible! Leave them in peace, and anonymous!!

Nanni's lately updated me on every last unprocessed update I've done, so he caught up with the bombardment, and I've always been impressed with the man's staying power, so I believe I have no more obligations, in that respect. It's over to you lot from now on. You're doing far better than me, anyway.
