Latest post of the previous page:
Really tough one. Failed miserably. Looked it up.
Good choice!

I thought so too! This is the same circuit. As you can see, it's not an American oval
Any further guesses?
I'll give you guys a clue: It's been modelled in GPL and converted to rFactor before.

Norisring? It's the only circuit that I can think of with a layout resembling the second picture.

I think it is or a Japanese or South African circuit. Look at the drivers position. So it is definitely not a track on the main European continent. Could be british, but i doubt that.

Is it an early image of Suzuka? The only reason I think that is because the second image has 36R and 25R markers.

Where would this be in Suzuka though, I cant think of a place where you get the situation where the road is in a configuration as pictured. Keep in mind Suzukas layout hasn't changed in a major way since it was build.

We're in the right country now! Alas, it is not Suzuka.

The entry to the hairpin. But it was unlikely to be right, which Paul has now confirmed.

No the hairpin has a huge elevation change the road going to the left would be much lower. Also there seems to be a right instead of the expected left.
Problem is all Japanese tracks are twisted knots. I'll have a guess though, Funabashi?
