They have started testing the new 'GEN2' Formula E car that will be in use for 2018/19 series starting in December this year. Testing is being held now at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain. I still think they look more like Sports Cars than open wheelers.
Vandoorne is having a busy week.... testing for two days in FE at Valencia before heading off to Austin for McLaren duties. (top pic below)
Suppose we should start at 2018/19 thread.....

At least the new cars will allow them to do a complete race without having to stop mid race for a car change. That used to shit me.
That was probably the best thing the series had going for it, aside from the horseshit carbon credit con job of claiming to be Carbon nuteral, the unique pit stops were the only thing that interested me.
I wonder how many carbon credits they had to buy so that the disposal of the old batteries, cars and motors etc. wasn't counted as pollution?
I am very sorry if you find my posts long and boring, I like to type and often go off on a tangent.
If this is the case, you may click here to solve the problem, or alternatively here too.

Yes, what's the body count of Congolese children working in cobalt mines up to these days? Ah who cares anyway, as long as can sell these cars...
First race of the new season today, thought the racing was very good. I won’t give anything away but it’s worth a watch. I also need to watch the Jaguar eTrophy as well.

I watched the race too, which was very entertaining. Pity of Massa's penalty. He did some good moves.

Yes indeed. Shame for all the penalties, which the commentators were blaming on the lack of practice today. The course was also surprisingly good.
From what I managed to see, the racing was good, very good even. The cars were able to follow each other through the corners easily, the cars looks good, a decent batch of drivers at that.
