I've updated 1995-1997. You think there was only 3 decent GPs in 1997?Antonov wrote: ↑5 years ago1995:

I would recommend watching each race from each of those seasons. There are some blinding races. You won't regret it. Time well spent.

Can we not just choose one race per season?
I was very young, but a few races stick in my memory. And those that I've seen since totally confirm how awesome that time was.
1996: Monaco for sure.
1997: Hungary was one of my favourite moments, but again Monaco sticks in my mind.
1998: Belgium
1999: Canada
2000: Germany
Very, very hard to make those choices though. The Nurburgring races in 1998/9 were both epic, so was 1998 Silverstone. I wish F1 was still that good.

the laptimes back in the late 90s were a lot slower than they are these days, but then again, they didn't have tons of grip through downforce at their disposal, the engine grunt was massive and tarmac run-off areas were unheard of. God I miss those.PTRACER wrote: ↑5 years ago Can we not just choose one race per season?

@kals care to explain why PT and JAP '96 were good?
I assume probably the move of Villeneuve on Schumacher around the final bend in Estoril, and Hill taking the championship in Suzuka?

Portugal - great race for the win between Hill, JV and Schumacher.
Japan - tense affair for the title from start to finish (well, until JV retired) with some very close racing
Perhaps you could explain why you liked Spain 96? I mean, yes it was wet and yes Schumi put in a legendary drive but there wasn't much of a 'race' was there? People fawn over that race but it was a little dull.

I'll have to rewatch those then, including Spain '96.
as for the early part of the 90s
1990 - I think Australia
1991 - I tend to say Belgium
1992 - all bad
1993 - Donington
1994 - Japan

For 1992, I would suggest watching Hungary, Belgium and Australia. Belgium first. Most of them were pretty dull. Even Monaco, which was only interesting for the final 7 laps.
1993 had some good races, Kyalami, Brazil and Donington. Silverstone was also interesting, Belgium was good.
1994 I would stick with Japan and Australia.

I did limit myself to one race per season (as per the rules, which you break as usual).
For 1992 you are definitely right, somehow I forgot about Belgium.

I simply can't remember a lot of the seasons. I know who won the title, but my memory about those races is gone.

I hear you there. Actually my memory is probably poorest when it comes to the most recent seasons.erwin greven wrote: ↑5 years ago I simply can't remember a lot of the seasons. I know who won the title, but my memory about those races is gone.
