Im lost for words.

That is why i hesitate to follow Real road races. A lot of respect for those riders, but it is not my cup of tea.

If there's one thing to smile about in this horrid situation, is that William can now catch up with his Dad and Uncle.

Andy wrote: 5 years ago It is with great regret to announce the passing of William Dunlop (32) following a tragic practice accident during the Skerries 100 road races today. Thoughts and prayers to the Dunlop family.

https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/spor ... 91346.html
William Dunlop has died following a crash at the Skerries 100 races.

The son of the late Robert and nephew of the legendary Joey, William was making his return to the sport after pulling out of this year's Isle of Man TT to be with his pregnant partner, expecting their second child.

He suffered fatal injuries in an incident during open practice on Friday shortly after 5pm. Dunlop was racing on his Temple Golf Club Yamaha. The crash is understood to have happened at the Sam's Tunnel section of the course.

The 32-year-old was a winner at both the North West 200 and the Ulster GP.

A statement on behalf of the Skerries 100 organisers read: "The Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club, organisers of the Skerries 100, deeply regrets to announce that competitor William Dunlop of Ballymoney, Co. Antrim, has passed away following injuries received in a tragic accident that occurred during practise which took place today 7th July 2018.

"The Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club extends their heartfelt sympathy to William Dunlop's family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this very sad time."

Tributes are already flowing in for the much-loved racer and brother of Michael, who is also competing at the County Dublin event.

Those have been led by the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club, who said:

"The Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club are beyond devastated to learn of the death of our club member and local road racing legend William Dunlop, after he was involved in an incident in today's practice sessions at the Skerries 100.

"Our deepest sympathies go to his partner Janine and daughter Ella, mother Linda, brother Michael and Daniel, Granny May, the Dunlop family, William's friends, team and wider circle.

"Such a lovely fella on & off the bike. He will be missed soo much by us all."
Ride in peace, William. It was great to have known you

Bemsee racer Kyle O’Donovan has died
Image
POWERBIKES racer Kyle O’Donovan has died after an accident on the Brands Hatch GP circuit this weekend while racing with Bemsee.
The Global Robots BMW rider was competing in the club’s premier big bike ranks on Sunday when the incident occurred.

A statement from BMCRC officials reads:

It is with great sadness that the Club advises the loss of our young rider, Kyle O’Donovan.

Kyle has succumbed to injuries received after an accident at the bottom of Paddock Hill Bend at Brands Hatch on Sunday 8th July. Whilst the circumstances are under investigation, it appears that he lost control of his bike – no other riders were involved.

A hugely popular talent in the Bemsee Paddock, we’ve been observing his improvement since he started racing in 2016.

He was 28 years old and will be sorely missed by the many friends he had at Bemsee, the many expressions of best wishes and support from riders and others on our Social Media channels so soon after the incident bears this out.

The Club pays tribute to him and our thoughts are with his fiancée Chloe, his family and his great many friends.

The Club also thanks the Medical Team led on this occasion by Dr Rosie Furse for their efforts at the incident along with the Marshals & Officials that attended and managed the scene. The intervention of the local HEMS unit and the focus on Kyle’s care did result in our abandoning the meeting at that point in the day. We also thank riders who were due to still race for their expressions of concern and support for the Club’s actions at the time.

We will arrange to remember Kyle at a meeting later in the season to give all that knew him their own chance to mark his passing in an environment he loved so much.

UK Clubsport was fortunate enough to share a pint with Kyle earlier this season, and are saddened to hear this tragic news.

We wish to extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Ride in peace, Kyle
