Is it the Nassau raceway? It looks flat and straight enough to be an airfield course.

And we have winner. This is from the 1000kms race that incorporated stretches of highways surrounding the racertrack. You're are back up the road toward the Ascari turn, F1 cars would've taken a hard right a couple of hundred meters up the road.

If the information is correct where I found it, then it's not Gnoo Blas. The tracks look similar, though.

Im sure it is Australian.
Gnoo Blass was probably too old as well.... the XK Falcon in the pic did not come out until c 1961 and Gnoo Blass was gone by then.
I was thinking Lowood, but that was an airfield so unlikely to have a house on it so close to the 'runway' and there are signs of hills in the background..
The other track that comes to mind with a long straight is the Flying Mile at Longford. That had houses and even a pub by the track. Many tales of drivers DNF'ing and heading for the pub. Thinking about it, probably not green enough for Longford..... so I will give Hume Weir a go.

It isn't Hume Weir, sorry.

You're close. That day marks a special one in the history of the Ford Falcon XK

Here's another photograph as this really is a tough one. To be honest, I had not heard of that track before I found these pictures. Australia's correct though.

I was completely stumped, but I just remembered an obscure track that fits the bill. Is it Middle Ridge (Toowoomba)? Someone take my go if I'm correct.

That would be the competition debut of the XK Falcon by a local to the track.
Shortly afterwards Ford entered a works XK for Bob Jane and Lou Molina in the Armstrong 500 at Phillip Island. They rolled it, but continued and finished.
In 1962, they returned with Harry Firth joining Bob Jane.... this time they won the event.

Coincidence is that the works XK of Jane and Firth was down at Phillip Island this last weekend for the PI Classic meeting I attended. I even took a photo:

@theracer120 good pick. (I was geographically down the road with my Catalina mention, just not close enough. Never heard of Middle Ridge though)

I only knew about it because I'd read about it and it's in my region... had never even seen a photo other then of the layout. I always thought it was in the town itself.
