Bottom post of the previous page:

I liked Grosjean at Lotus, but at Haas he doesn't appear the same. Magnussen has gone down in my estimation also this year. He impressed at times at McLaren and while at Renault dragged some impressive performances out of a shitbox of a car.

The attitudes of both drivers have been less than impressive in 2017.

Right. So I also think that Williams have now totally made up their mind on who they want next year. I think they're getting Di Resta. If they wanted to get Kubica they would have tried him out in the last race and then made a decision based on that.

well, sad in the sense that he had a proper goodbye last year, but decided to sign for another year and drive in complete anonymity.

but true - message received. I'll keep my trolling to the thread I created for it (the Arse End - formerly known as Antonov's thread)

Kubica can't do a one off apparently - he's got an insurance payout based on the fact that he cannot drive in F1 again. The financial loss if he drives in F1 again can only be overcome with the salary from a full seasons contract.

Antonov, merci.

I'm with Antonov here. Massa should not have come back this year, it is a bit sad. But why is this trolling?

Lando Norris confirmed at McLaren.

Keep your tweeds on guys.... he is not replacing Stoffel, but has been confirmed as expected to take over from Jenson and become the official reserve and test driver.
He is also of course joining Fernando in the Zak Brown owned United Autosports LMP2 car at the Daytona 24hr.

Massa did alright this year. He completely showed up Lance Stroll on plenty of occasions.

He did "alright" but nothing more. He's not one to lead the team forward.

Massa did 'ok' in the first quarter of the season and a couple of other times. Once he found his feet Stroll has outperformed Massa on many occasions. Compared to how Massa was in his first rookie year, I'd say Stroll has done a fantastic job.
