The past 10 days have sadly not been too kind to the world of motorcycling.
On August, 4 Angel Nieto passed away following a quad bike accident.
RIP, Angel
On August, 6 BSB Superstock 1000 rider Mark Fincham succumbed to injuries sustained in a freak accident at Thruxton.
RIP, Mark
On August, 10 British road racer Jamie Hodson succumbed to injuries sustained in an race incident during the Dundrod 150 road races that involved his brother Rob as well. I had brief chats with both brothers during the TT fortnight as well as the third heavy injured rider, Gavin Lupton. Due to have briefly known Jamie, his death has hit me somewhat. This below is my photo of Jamie, coming home tenth during the 2017 Supertwin TT race at Cronk-Ny-Mona.
RIP, Jamie
On August, 12 63-year old club racer Frank Dignan lost his life in an accident during a superbike race at East Fortune.
RIP, Frankie
On August, 14 the first female Afro-American AMA pro racer, Joi SJ Harris, succumbed to injuries sustained when performing a stunt during the filming of a movie called 'Deadpool 2'
RIP, Joi
I'd like to express my heartfelt sympathies to all families and friends of those above, particularly to Rob Hodson, who must have a real tough, challenging time right now.
