A wet start for MotoGP. I think there may be a 15 minute delayed start as a result.

and a 9th different winner in 2016!

great grand prix. finished about 5 laps before the end though.

happy that Dovizioso won and showed he is obviously the right choice for Ducati going forward (and not Iannone).

Plus unassisted crashes from Marquez, (who remounted and finished out of the top 10,) Crutchlow, Iannone amongst others as thee track proved unusually slow to dry..

Shame Rossi had to ease off with brake and tyre issues after leading many laps. The worlds luckiest podium for Lorenzo as all the above crashed out of podium spots to elevate his otherwise lowly showing.

MotoGP was fun, congrats to Dovi. 2 wins in almost identical conditions and situations.... wet to drying, at or near the front and competitors falling off making journey to victory a little easier.

7 years between victories, so I look forward to congratulating Dovi on his 3rd MotoGP triumph in 2023.

It's not going to happen (probably) but if we're to get a 10th winner this season at Valencia, who will it be? Aleix? Pol? Anyone else?

Also, KTM races at Valencia. I'll be looking forward to that!

Forgot about that. Also looking forward to what is a great looking bike (or it appeared to look great in mid season testing and the AustrianGP unveiling to the public.)

Now, imagine if MV Agusta, Triumph and Kawa would join MotoGP as well. That'd truly be the golden age of GP-racing.

I remember MV Agusta was actually rumored to return a few years back, but it seems it came to nothing, sadly.

I don't really rate the Espagaro brothers. They're very talented, but not in the same talent pool as Marquez, Rossi and Lorenzo. They're more Dovi standard. Good but not great.

Redding would be a good next winner.
