ALL CATEGORIES:

I thought it might be useful to have a central thread for all of the various Championships..... it should make it easier than fishing through countless other threads to find a particular championship next round, or a particular event.

@Kals/PT - If you feel it warrants being a sticky thread that is up to you.

Of course it will still be a discussion thread for any comments and thoughts relating to the calendars. So comment and post away.

I will start the ball rolling with a few I know of that have been announced to date. Please feel free to add the info as it becomes available and I will try to make sure that a copy of each addition posted is added to this opening post, thus we should end up with all the info listed in one post.

This one is fairly recently available,

2013 WTTC Calendar.

The World Touring Car Championship will visit Russia for the first time next year after confirming a date at Moscow Raceway.

A provisional calendar, featuring an expanded 13 rounds, was announced by the FIA on Friday, with the Moscow date scheduled for June 8-9.

Other changes on the calendar include the return of the Porto street event, which takes its usual biennial spot from the Algarve circuit, and a movement of the opening round from Italy to Spain.

Spain's event, which has taken place at Valencia since 2005, has not been given a definitive venue.

Marrakech has also been left off the calendar, although the third round is scheduled to take place in an unspecified country on April 6-7.

The WTCC also confirmed that Eurosport Events will continue as its promoter until at least the end of 2017.

Eurosport Events has promoted the series since it was re-established in 2005.

FIA president Jean Todt said: "The FIA is delighted to carry on this cooperation with Eurosport Events that has proved so fruitful so far.

"During these eight years it has been promoting the World Touring Car Championship, Eurosport Events put in a huge effort to make the championship growing in competition on the track and popularity worldwide.

"The renewal of the agreement will further enhance the cooperation among the parties to make the championship even stronger."

V8SC CHAMPIONSHIP DATES now CONFIRMED.

The season will start with an all-in, compulsory test at Sydney Motorsport Park. It will be the first time that all four manufacturers will be together on the race track, but it will be the only time the V8s race at the Eastern Creek circuit as the western Sydney track has missed out on an official round.

The Clipsal 500 kicks off the championship, with the Australian Grand Prix support races to be held two weeks later. It’s worth noting that if Network Ten secure the television broadcast rights next year, the Grand Prix is likely to become a championship event.

One major change is Bathurst’s date, which falls on October 13. The later date means there’s a four week gap between Sandown and ‘The Great Race,’ and while there’s still a two-week gap to the Gold Coast, there will only be one week between the Gold Coast and Abu Dhabi.

The later Gold Coast 600 slot means that the event does not clash with the final round of the IndyCar Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship’s round at Japan, opening up the possibility of drivers in those classes to compete at the international-flavoured Surfers Paradise street race.

V8 Supercars will announce the race formats and distances for next season soon, however, they did reveal that Queensland Raceway in July and the penultimate event at Phillip Island in November will be two day meetings.
