PR-RADICAL-ONE-MONTH - Basic content + Radical SR8 + Silverstone.

Basic Content includes:
Cars
Pontiac Solstice
Legends
SCCA Spec Racer Ford

Tracks
Lanier National Speedway
Lime Rock Park
Oxford Plains Speedway
Summit Point Raceway
South Boston Speedway
Lowe's Motor Speedway
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Centripetal Circuit

I know a lot of people think iRacing is over-rated over-priced but this is the cheapest intro deal yet (thanks to Marcel at V8T for the free trial codes).

Most Importantly - if you pay by debit or credit card it is set to auto-renew, so remember to switch that off in My Account before the end of the month if you don't want to pay $19 the next month (wise person would sub for a year anyway cos you get $60 credits with that).

If you pay by Paypal then it doesn't renew automatically.

Rookie Legends races go off every hour on the hour, either qualify and start up front or start at the back and hang back, Rookie Legends are a bit crazy at the best of times, there's a lot of people in there with absolutely no racing experience, online or offline, so don't get angry if you get taken out, the racing get's a lot better the higher iRating you get, if anybody here does it let me know and I might even be tempted to get back into one of these Angry Bees.

You need to get the Rookie license up over SR4.00 (5 clean races iirc) to run the skippies/late models.

Thanks, but... I have a credit card, not debit, and it needs me to do $1.00 "temporary confirmation fee" in order to register, which kinda sucks because I really wanted to give it a try.

Anyone care to help me?

you can pay by credit card, just don't forget to cancel the auto-billing.

I did it by PayPal, do I still need to cancel by the end of the month?

not as far as I know, but to be sure just go here and see what it says:

https://members.iracing.com/membersite/ ... bership.do

If it says "Account set to auto-renew on XX/XX/XX" then click the cancel auto-renew button, job done.

Aahhh, thank you Ian. Downloading software atm from iRacing.com, 5 min remaining... Wanna race some stockies tonight, see if I am any good (since I have never really done any proper simracing in leagues, but this seemed tempting)? :twothumbs:

Decided not to start with iracing. It is very expensive in the long run and i don't want to be addicted to a game with a year in year out membership.

Rookie races are awesome, I could win a dozen races due to being the only one left on the server. 6 people will qualify and because of the way it is, there's 15 mins between quali and race and no one can be arsed to wait. Epic fail?

err nope, qualifying isn't tied to a race, you're qualifying time is your Q time for every race you enter, it's set for the week once it's in, you can re-qualify if you want in another session, and if it's faster then that'll become your Q time for the week, if not your original time stands.

Rookie Oval races are survival of the fittest though LOL.
Rookie Roads not so bad, it depends on how the first corner goes.

So this 15 minute wait isn't for the race?

nope, and you was in an open practice session as well I think? (stats take a while to update so I dunno if it was a practice or Q).
That 15 minutes is what you've got to talk to others, save replays etc. before the server disconnects from you.

Hint, road racing etiquette, don't txt or voice chat during races, you'll get your arse chewed off in higher series for it.

Next Solistice race is 7pm, and you can register for them up to 30 minutes in advance, you don't need to qualify, it just puts you at the back in iRating order if you go in without a Q time.

the friends system doesn't work for official races, only 24HDF stuff which I don't tend to do, so if the race get's split, then we probably won't be in the same race.
