The man who also introduced rear view mirrors to Motor Racing, on his Indy winning Marmon Wasp. Almost a McLaren colour too....

If this mess ends up with Santucci in the #10 I'm going to be a very, very, angry boy.

K-Mag wants to come over, but it might be difficult to work out. I hope he can pull it off.

https://racer.com/2020/10/23/penske-con ... y-in-2021/
Australian Supercars champion Scott McLaughlin has yet to turn a lap in IndyCar competition, but he’s already secured a full-time ride in the sport’s most famous team. Team Penske announced late Friday that the 27-year-old McLaughlin — who will make his IndyCar race debut this weekend at St. Petersburg — will join its IndyCar squad on a full-time basis in 2021 in a fourth Chevrolet-powered entry, joining Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power. Penske also confirmed that it will not return to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship for the 2021 season.
Excellent news.

I think he really impressed the team with how serious he's been taking things off-track.

Wish him the best of luck in his (ad)venture. There is no doubt he has hit a 'sweet spot' with Roger, and has a gret relationship with those who matter.
It should mean we will get decent coverage of events on this part of the world.

Im trying to a make a retrospective over the best moments of the year for the Swedish Indycar podcast I'm co-hosting.

I'm struggling to think of some really great overtakes this year. I have Felix on Pato in Road America, JoNew on Palou and Herta in St. Pete and Sato on Pato at Gateway. Anyone else can think of something else?

What about close calls or silly mistakes?

The universe, look at the hugeness of it... it is a dizzying thought that little ol' me is the centre of it all!***

Didn't Santucci or Rossi go bananas with passing during the Indy 500?

Penske's pit stops are usually pretty farcical.

Was it Dixon and Rossi who passed and re-passed eachother during a 20-lap stint in the 500?

All I remember of Indy is it finished under caution, rightfully IIRC. And Takumo won.
