Bottom post of the previous page:

Just had a quick conversation with Felix Rosenqvist, remarkably, the car he won at Road America with was the same car which he wrecked at Texas. Obv the teams don't want to stretch their resources for different chassis for all kind of tracks. He has used that car in every race so far, with a new chassis being taken out now for Indy.

Why would they? They're the same chassis, DW-12s

It's the same car across the field, which is why some teams (at least in the past, when there was more money) would have cars set aside for oval and road course configuration to chase those extra tiny bits of possible performance. They could tuck in the little bits and pieces better for oval aero.

Clearly the gains are either so marginal though that they don't matter (eg: CGR won almost everything until the last rounds), or everybody is in financial strife and cutting corners.

My hometown lad Linus Lundqvist has won eight of eight races to start the Formula Regional Americas season, so he's a shoe-in for an Indy Lights ride for next year, assuming A) the season can be finished in good order, and B) there is an Indy Lights championship in 2021. Which would hopefully make it two Swedes there next year.

And maybe four Swedes in IndyCar in a few years, if everything goes according to plan.

Eight wins, eight poles and seven fastest laps so far this year.

'Haven't read Indy car regs. in a looonnnngggg time so I'm "outa the loop" regarding separate chassis for r/c and ovals. I'll give a looksee.

I thought there was only one tub with body and wing variations (spec, of course}, and I assume at least some other spec parts (maybe undertray, suspension, gears, etc.). :dunno:
Back in the CART days (early IRL*, too, I presume; 'didn't jump on the "split" bandwagon) and prior, there were literally different tubs by the chassis builders for the two types of circuits (wheelbase, weight distribution variations L/R and 'stuff). :dunno:

* edit: Having started my research, I see road courses didn't come along in IRL as soon as I thought. Errnnttt!

He would probably have the money to do it himself if he can't get a ride somewhere.

What? Another "McLaren" effort like last year?

Not even asking how much a startup would cost to be uncompetitive. His name ain't Stroll.
