Insane finish today in Texas. Rahal beat Hinch by just 0.008 seconds!

Great race tonight at Texas Motor Speedway !!
Graham Rahal won it by .008 over James Hinchcliffe !!!
James had dominate car & led almost all the race. Some late race cautions closed up the field and lead to some really close racing toward the end.

Great win for Rahal but it was Hinchcliffe who led the most part of it.
Was there some kind of remembering to Justin Wilson in Pocono 2016??

All pit stalls had a British flag at half mast and there were the USWAG socks that were made by one of Justin's businesses.LaraCroft2016 wrote: Was there some kind of remembering to Justin Wilson in Pocono 2016??

I was walking through NYC this morning heading to my 1 mile race when Emmo and his wife ran past me. He's a lot smaller than I imagined to be.

I really want to apprechiate Indycars again. But the cars, they put me off. With that said, I do like the schedule, with that great mix of street circuits, ovals and road circuits. And some classic venues like Long Beach, Phoenix, Indy, Road America and so on.
But the the look of the cars. I mean, come on. It's dreadful.
Oh, and Cleveland and Portland. They should be included as well. Is the Cleveland airport track still around these days?

Nope, hasn't been since the last CCWS 9 years ago. No mayor there has been pro-racing it seems. It never was a permanent track in the first place.

Indycar has been on the cusp of returning to greatness (not heyday 90's level though) but keeps shooting itself in the foot. Since the DW12 chassis was introduced the racing has been fantastic, old school classic circuits are being brought back one by one, the driver talent pool in the field is phenomenal, but... but...
The chassis is now 5 years old and the handling of the introduction of aero kits was poor. The condensed calendar was poorly conceived, universally condemned and confusing. Constant tweaking nee messing around with aero rules for ovals has delivered utter boredom from one weekend to insanely risky racing the next. The points allocation per race keeps being altered year on year which lead to the debacle of the 2015 finale. Derrick Walker was a positive influence on the series but an enemy to his employers, who didn't appreciate logical thinking which was for the best of Indycar and it's entrants.
I could go on, but you get the point.
2016 hasn't been a classic season but Pagenaud will be a deserved and popular champion.

Yes, I'd love to see Cleveland back on the sked. A unique venue.
Indycars ugly? Well, they shocked me somewhat when first debuted but I've got familiar with them. Not ugly... Just different. And potentially safer with respect to wheels within wheels scenarios.

It could also just be me missing the cars of the late 1990's so badly.Manfred Cubenoggin wrote:Yes, I'd love to see Cleveland back on the sked. A unique venue.

I miss the sponsors as well. We need Kool Green and Forsythe.
