Extremely belated Hello

I've been a member here for more than 5 years, so this introduction is way over due. I'm not much of a communicator. I bury myself in my work during the week, which is software development, and my hobbies on the weekend which are iRacing.com (where I started out as a tester in 2005), maintaining my fleet of VWs and Volvos (most of which date to the 20th century) and home repair (mine was built in the 1920s). I help my cousin out with his SCCA Spec Miata when he needs it and occasionally I am lucky enough to find my way to a race event. This picture was from the IMSA race at Lime Rock Park over the summer. I'm the guy you don't recognize.

Thanks guys. I do everything from plumbing and heating to electrical to tile, stone and masonry. I see every job as an opportunity to buy a new tool.
this summer's big project was the master bathroom. Here's the job after framing was mostly done:

and here's the finished project:

this project took me almost 3 years because I started a new programming job in the middle, so I wouldn't say I'm fast and I don't always get things right the first time. I re-built the staircase to my basement twice!

I can't say I've ever been game to try plumbing or electrical!

Tiling is a pain in the arse , especially if you don't have the proper equipment. But otherwise renovating is fun!
