Another incredible race in MotoGP. Petrucci takes a fantastic win and Dovi recovered some points but Quartararo showed maturity in the last lap battle with Mir and Vinales. First podium for Alex Marquez.

Rossi is 11th in the standings. If he'd ridden more conservatively he'd be 4th and within 20 points for sure.

Apparently he travelled by air from Le Mans with someone who has tested positive and under the protocol in place under Spanish Law for Covid that entails 10 days quarantine/isolation, even though he has twice tested negative since.
A bit sad as he was on a bit of a roll in the championship. Rules are rules.
Re Rossi there were talks that JLo would be drafted in to replace Rossi but Yamaha have confirmed it wont be happening.

JLo has barely ridden the bike, so would have been trailing around at the back. Better that they give 100% to Maverick than try and deal with that sideshow.
