Unfortunately for Zarco bridges have been burned for him by Fellon. Case is point was the conversation he tried having with Alberto Puig about the potentially open Honda seat should Lorenzo quit at the end of the year. It's a sad story for such a talent. Fingers crossed it has a happy ending for him.
Aprilia are just plain confusing. Their treatment of riders has been abysmal (Lowes, Redding, Melandri...), the development and progress non-existent, yet we all want them to be successful. I hope Fausto Gresini is getting a nice sized cheque from Aprilia to compensate turning a once front running title contending Honda privateer into a tail ender with little prospects with a disappointing reputation.
Yeah apparently Zarco's top priority now for 2020 is a test rider role. Which just seems like the biggest waste of talent I can think of in his position.

Marc marquez won the race and the title thanks to a perfect outside pass at the beginning of the last lap, and a smart defense at the very last curve. The defeated rider Quartararo showed he deserves the best material from the yamaha, as he s outclassing all the others by many races already
Another slow race with MM just following FQ before attacking in the last few laps. I think FQ had burned his rubber away trying to get away from Marquez.
Well done on another title. He's really in a class of his own.
Quartararo was labelled as exceptional talent when he came to Moto3 but suffered a nasty ankle injury that derailed his season. Then he switched to KTM for year two and never found the groove (very common in Moto3, even Alex Rins had early hiccups when he switched the other way before 2014 and lost too much ground to mount a title challenge. He was a lock to win 2014 Moto3 after Vinales & Salom moved up).
The satellite Yamaha appears to be the magic bike. Johann Zarco punched above his weight already and I can only wonder if Yamaha isn't too stuck with Rossi's old habits too much. Their test programme is a wash, they don't even field wild cards anymore. With Quartararo outside of the VR46 influence I wonder if that's what they really need to ever beat Marquez? The works team seems too complacent with Rossi tbh.

When Vinales joined Yamaha he was marked as the man to take on Marquez. That lasted half a season. Then Dovi came good with Ducati. That has come and gone. Now Quartararo has found a connection with the Yamaha that no other rider on that bike has. Will it last? Who knows. Does it mean he's the man to dethrone Marquez? Speculation is understandable but a little premature. It's fun to watch though.
Yeah, Vinales was widely labelled as the most talented from the Salom-Rins triffecta that dominated the 2013 Moto3 season but he loses so much time in the early stages of each race it's beyond pathetic. When Lorenzo used to make Marquez look silly with his mighty starts it was one thing, the days of reeling in the leader after a poor opening stint are over. You can't give someone like Marquez 3-4 sec. head-start at all these days. This being said, I believe Repsol whiffed on the chance to bring Vinales from Suzuki and extended Pedrosa beyond years. Let's see if they can lure Pol Espargaro away from KTM whenever the Lorenzo experiment is over.
Dovizioso is just the Italian Pedrosa aka MotoGP's Fisichella. He will win you some races and even mount a half-hearted championship campaign but he doesn't have the killer gene and never will even if Ducati is the best bike in the field at any stage. Jack Miller is just too erratic to be consistent enough to lead the Ducati charge going forward as Marquez has cut down on his "win or bust" antics. Dovizioso has become Marquez's whipping boy just like Gibernau to Rossi in mid 00s.
