Thanks for the heads up mate. I'm on the parlour right before the Gob-e-Volley farm. Down there gleaming sun, up here chilly with the wind in the full shadow.
Anyway, about to restart now. Here's my view for this race

OK the link I published before seems to have stopped..... I missed the incident making dinner but it appears there was a red flag in the Junior GP, but the race is about to restart over 3 laps on this link: In parc ferme / pre grid atm.

Here is the new link for the restart.
LIVE coverage of the Junior Manx Grand Prix 2017, brought to you by the Manx Motorcycle Club. Parc Ferme interviews, grid walk, cameras around the circuit - it's like you are there! Enjoy the coverage. This follows a RED FLAG previously, so this will be a 3 LAP race.

Glad to see that the habit of giving winners a laurel leaf garland on the podium is still alive and well in the IoM. Dont see that much missed practice now in more professional motorsports. (IIRC something to do with sponsors getting pissed off because the garlands blocked their logos from the cameras and TV screens.)

Roads open to the public now so that is it for the Manx GP live streams for the day.

Review of winners: The Isle of Man’s Michael Evans, riding the Martin Bullock Motorsport Kawasaki, won a restarted Mylchreests Group Junior Manx Grand Prix. Three of the top five riders – Evans, Williams and Osborne - from the Isle of Man

Michael Evans on his way to winning the Junior Manx GP

As reported in a previous post, he race was red flagged due to a crash. It was one of our local boys, Australian Royce Rowe - he was taken by ambulance to Nobles Hospital with reported leg injuries where his condition was described as stable and not causing concern at this stage.
Brendan Fargher was reported to be OK after sliding off at Windy Corner.

Three riders – Michael Evans, Cooper and Glenn Harrison joined the prestigious ‘Tommy’ Club – named after former MGP winner Tommy Clucas – after posting their first 120mph+ laps, while last night’s MGP Newcomer A race winner Brad Vicars was the first newcomer home in 9th place. All thirteen newcomers who started the race finished.

Getting into my boots for Senior race day. Down here in Onchan we have blue sky but over the mountain overcast at least. It will majorly depend on whether how high these clouds are in order to get a helicopter out there.

Roads close 9.30am with an intended 10.15am start. I hope it gets streamed again.

Enjoy,

Racing for the Senior MGP finally got started at 12.15 due to the fog and mist..... it was local guy and Junior GP winner Michael Evans who topped off a great week for him with victory from pole in the Senior, making him only the third Manx rider in the event’s history to do the MGP Senior and Junior double! The Senior / Junior MGP double was last achieved in 2011 by Northern Ireland rider Andrew Brady.

To top off his week Evans also took fastest lap with a new lap record of 122.657mph on his opening lap, improved it to 122.866 on his second lap and was never headed over the four laps to complete the victory by over a minute in a new race record of 1:15.06.669/ 120.557.

2017 Senior Manx Grand Prix - Top 10

Pos No. Rider Machine/Entrant Time Speed

1 17 Michael Evans Suzuki / Martin bullock motorsport 01:15:06.669 120.557

3 31 Dean Osborne Kawasaki / Brian Osborne 01:16:18.323 118.671
4 4 David Lumsden Honda / Martin Bullock Manxsport 01:16:43.347 118.025
5 23 Jamie Williams Honda / Jaks bar and steak house 01:16:46.136 117.954

Sorry for heating up cold soup but here's a photo I took at the Classic Senior Race. I never liked it because I still think, that I messed the shutter speed up. But at my brothers anniversary on Monday, his girlfriend suddenly started pointing out how much she likes it. Well, I gave it second look and must say that the details are mint and pretty similar to other photos from this race. And then I remembered a friend of me, John Coldwell, had posted a picture almost exactly the opposite. A pitch black background and a bike coming out of it.
Here's my opposite version ;)

Almost forgot that I took a couple photos of the Michael Dunlops Gilera lap in memory of Bob McIntyres first ever 100 mph lap.
I forgot about it, because I thought the pics would be crap much like all of my Classic Lightweight TT pics, but these turned out ok it seems.
Here it is, today we do the ton ;)
