That's completely unconfirmed as of yet. His dad stated though that the docs did something wrong when he was brought to hospital first a couple weeks ago. But there will be a press release following soon. At least, that's what I read so far.

In fact, until something really gets officially confirmed I'm not calling it since the yellow press called him dead on instant, too and it turned out he was still alive when he was admitted. Anyway, this is not the right place to discuss it. Keep itgoing in random, please if there is a need
Thanks

On November, 13th 'Uncle' Don Padgett, a former Manx GP and Southern 100 competitor as well as uncle to world championship rider Clive Padgett, passed away in his sleep. Don lived in Onchan, Isle of Man and set up the Isle of Man branch of Padgett's Motorcycles.

On Saturday, the 18th of November English rider Daniel Hegarty succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash during the Macao Motorcycle GP.

During TT17 I briefly got to know Dan, introduced through a friend of mine. Shortly after the news of his death, I learnt that Dan was member of the same club, I signed in to the marshals branch during the Manx GP, the Auto66 Marshals. These pictures below are from my own TT17 archives.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Dan's girlfriend Lucy, his kids, family & friends as well as his team Top Gun Racing, who already had lost Dan's teammate Gavin Lupton during this years Ulster GP.

Ride in peace, Dan
