The very name of Oschersleben will forever remind me of the much missed Barry Sheene.... I remember in his post racing career as a commentator he had huge problems pronouncing the name and made reference to the fact he could never get it right even in his racing days.

Just found a reference to Oschersleben with Barry on this tribute to him..... 11 minutes in if you are in a hurry (a good 11 minutes to watch if you are not). It is just a brief reference and not the full bit, but you get the idea. The Aussie who he is being interviewed by is the at the time channel 1 motorsport anchorman that Barry worked with at 10.

Sorry to take the thread off topic.
Edit: No im not, Barry is always on topic as far as I am concerned, on any topic! :whistling:

Funny you mentioned Barry anyway. Today I crammed through my weekly mail and found the new edition of classic racer in it. Along with it there came a vintage re-print of Motorcycle week ending 31 July 1976 stating "Barry brings it home" & "The rise of the Cockney whizzkid" on its frontpage. It is about the Swedish GP at Anderstorp which Barry won and which made him World Champion that year

Since there's no more important racing today, I`ll go on the road with a mate and give the FZS a go.

We also have the WSB at the Lausitzring and BSB at Donington for a Superbike Sunday :)
And then there's the Sidecar World Championship title decider at Donington Park as well.
