I just read that the former Italian WSB rider Fabrizio Pirovano has died today. I`m not sure how and just found the announcement of his death. Perhaps caneparo can shed some light on it, please?
RIP Fabrizio

All I found with a quick look was that he died 11/6/2016 after a short illness.... no details on what the illness was, but given he was only in his mid fifties.....Andy wrote:I just read that the former Italian WSB rider Fabrizio Pirovano has died today. Another source of the news talked of his battle of several years with what he called 'the evil bastard', so I guess that means cancer.
Edit: Just seen the post by Motorsportrace suggesting similar.

The attendance to Piro's funeral at the autodromo is reported to be 3000 persons. Here's pictures from the "last lap", a great tribute to a great pilot paid by his city

MotoGP has confirmed that Assen will continue to host the Dutch TT until at least 2026 after a new 10-year deal was reached between the parties.
Assen first hosted the Dutch TT in 1925 and has been a mainstay on the calendar throughout the history of Grand Prix racing.
"Assen has been present since the beginning of the championship in 1949," said MotoGP boss Carmelo Ezpeleta.
"It's a really fantastic circuit, it's a great honour for us to renew again with the circuit for the next 10 years.
"We are extremely happy and we have to say thank you to all the board of the TT Assen as it has been very easy to make this agreement, it's a great day for the championship."
As part of the new long-term agreement, Assen is set to carry out an upgrade of spectator facilities and hospitality areas at the circuit.
Brian Redman: "Mr. Fangio, how do you come so fast?" "More throttle, less brakes...."

Really good to read that Kenny Noyes makes real good and fast progress since his horrific almost life ending accident at Motorland Aragon a year ago. Also you guys may be interested to read that a severe brain injury not always means death or vegetative state afterward
Real good news, glad to have read about it
