Aprilia are to run a one off charity livery on both of their bikes at the season closing Valencia round of MotoGP.
Aprilia riders Stefan Bradl and Álvaro Bautista will race with a one-off, all-red livery at this weekend's MotoGP finale in Valencia, in support of AIDS charity (RED).
(RED) was founded in 2006 by singer-songwriter Bono and activist Bobby Shriver to assist programmes in the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in developing countries. It has contributed $360 million to the Global Fund and had an impact on more than 70 million people with prevention, treatment and consulting operations, and HIV tests.
In addition to a special bike livery, which will only feature the (RED) logo, all Aprilia team members will dress in red for the event, while the hashtag #iRideRED has been created.
"Aprilia and the Piaggio Group wish to thank all the partners, sponsors and riders who, with great sensitivity and maturity, have collaborated to make such an important, high-social-profile project successful, agreeing to the creation of the livery dedicated to (RED)," read a statement.

In other Valencia news Dani Pedrosa will return from injury. It was back at the build up to the Japanese Grand Prix last month, when he crashed and sustained a fracture to his right collarbone, right fibula and the fourth metatarsal in his left foot. He then flew home to Spain to be operated on, and missed (obviously the actual Motegi race) plus the Australian and Malaysian GP's. He has been declared fully fit, although I am sure he will find the weekend pretty tough. Good luck to him though.
