On Wednesday July, 14th British sidecar pilot Philip 'Dongo' Dongworth died after a heavy qualifiying accident to the Southern 100 Road Races held this week on the Isle of Man. His passenger Stu Castles survived the accident with heavy but non life threatening injuries. Two days earlier on July,12th Irish Road Racer Andrew Neill died in a practice crash to the Walderstown road races where he was thrown into a tree.

Rest in Peace Dongo and Andrew Neill. My sympathies are with both families in this sad time. :rip:
Get well soon Stu Castles.

Racing is dangerous, especialy on the Isle of Man, and you have to accept that if you don't want to do anything about it. The world has lost two great drivers and maybe even an even great co-pilot but let's hope we don't.

As I said a few months ago, the Isle Of Man is the last true "real man's" event. It's of course very tragic that people are killed in it, especially for the riders' families, but the riders know and accept they are taking a risk by riding there.

It's sad,,especially for the families, but it's the way it is...Ya take that risk knowingly.
