Can't say the year but this must be between 1973-1976 because that's when Newport dropped the Wasps nickname and used the 'N' logo instead of the wasp during those four seasons. They moved to Bristol in 1977.

#660: "4 Antique RPPC Car Wreck Colfax WA Chalmers 30 Rolls Down Bank Possible Fatality

I have several hours research in these and what I came up with is that the dealer advertised on the spare tire is from Colfax, they were there in 1916 at least, I had the name written down but have lost it, it is in the Colfax Gazette (maybe Commoner) archives. I was hoping to come across a story about the wreck itself in the archives but no luck yet and I have run out of interest in the project (lots more looking to do though). I did learn that this dealer put several Chalmers cars in the Auto Race that used to be a part of the Colfax Fair every year. And I learned that several different cars rolled down Buck Canyon in the early years. Each postcard measures approximately 3 1/2" X 5 1/2". I would say that the postcards are in good handled condition, edge corner and surface wear is all about (see pics), some soiling and staining, basic old postcards, ready to go. Fun! Sold "As-Is" with no reserve. Buyer pays shipping, we charge actual shipping costs, never a handling charge. WE ACCEPT PAYPAL ONLY (really) and we will ship the postcards as soon as possible upon receipt of payment, usually the day of or the day after. Thanks!"

Didn't see that searching on eBay, but find it instead on WorthPoint, with the pics still there. See how that works? There's a second chance.

Well, there are at least 2 places called Colfax, one in Washington (= WA, probably it, see above) and one in Nebraska.

1955 #30 Mod. Stock Car Wreck, Lancaster Speedway:

Probably Lancaster, N.Y., and not S.C. It says "York" on the side of the car. I don't believe this is Al Keller, who injured his hands at Langhorne, in a 1955 sprintcar race. This one, to be exact: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14561&p=352854&hil ... er#p352854

So, not Keller, but someone else, for the stock car ID.

No, it's certainly not Keller, and this is not a Sprint car. However, the note on the pic says something about a Pen-Mar Association, and I would bet my left thumb that means Pennsylvania-Maryland. There is, of course, also a Lancaster in PA, much more well known than Lancaster/NY or even Lancaster/SC, and it has a race track (or, at least it had one in yonder years). Also, it's only 15 miles or so (as the crow flies) from a town called York - consider this possibility.
Thank you...

Grenewall's Used Cars. 1002 Mt. Rose Ave., York, PA.

One accident in practice and 2 in race. I don't know which one, and maybe it was from a support race. Date fits, tho.

#671: Daytona Beach crash, #8 and one other, click to enlarge.

Modified sportsman race, probably. Happens in one of the turns, as they're on sand.
So I was messing about on ultimate racing history trying to find a lead. The #8 car is almost certainly a 1934 Ford, and the car flipping is almost certainly a circa 1940 Ford.

Unfortunately the 1950 race has very incomplete results. The races in 1951, 1953, and both races in 1954 could be eliminated since the #8 cars in those races were either 1939 or 1940 Fords. 1952's result sheet doesn't have an exact year listed for the #8 car, but it is reported to be a Ford, and Buddy Shuman was the driver.

There is one obscure flip in the 1952 Daytona Beach race, that being Pee Wee Jones in a #84 Ford. This could possibly be his wreck
