Last post from previous page:

Yeah, I saw these. I'm very happy Nanni is trying to keep mm.org up to date.

@Jesper Hvid Would you mind asking him if he received me e-mail from March 16th? He hasn't answered since which is very unusual for Nanni.

This video has some details that the Motorsport-Memorial page on this incident doesn't have.

I would suggest based off of the video and this spectactor guide that the accident did in fact happen in 1994, since they mention Gehan & Rudham as the winners.

Here is the aftermath of a really brutal fatal crash for Steve Turner and his unnamed co-pilot in the 1993 (that's what Motorsport Memorial says) or 1994 (what the video says) Robertstown Rally, a round of the South Australian Rally Championship.

Plus: The co-driver's last name (Roulston?) is mentioned twice in the second news report:

These two entries should be updated with the driver and the co-driver's names:

http://motorsportmemorial.org/focus.php?db=ct&n=9312
http://motorsportmemorial.org/focus.php?db=ct&n=9313

See here:
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14135&p=290602#p290602
I'll submit the info.

He did receive it, he is far behind with the emails, but asks for patience a little while yet.

WARNING: FATAL ACCIDENT

This is the fatal spectator accident at Bathurst in 1955, which happened when Tony Burke lost control of his Alfa-Alvis and crashed into the crowd killing two people and injuring 19 others.

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4285/3550 ... 2dc4_o.jpg

WARNING: FATAL ACCIDENT
Vehicle number 7, in these two cases:

http://motorsportmemorial.org/focus.php?db=ct&n=4206
http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=4207

And Burke's own entry is missing the name of one victim (William Constance):

http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=4536

I've sent this info to Nanni.

Suggestion for LWF-inclusion, where similar cases are listed:

Click to enlarge (2nd with article):

Fatal helicopter-accident in 1984 at Ahvenisto (SF), which happened during the running of an MC race. Mentioned here, also:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahvenisto_Race_Circuit
In May 1984, what remains today the most severe helicopter accident in the history of Finland occurred at the track during a race. The pilot lost control of his helicopter while landing and crashed into an audience area, resulting in five spectators dead and 26 injured.[4]

Link in footnote unfortunately dead.

Video:

Details:

Date of accident May 6, 1984.

4 or 5 people killed, 2 women, one man, one boy (9yo), and one unknown. Possibly, one victim died later from burns.

Pilot (who survived) lost control whilst landing, due to gust of wind. Apparently, after or at the end of some sort of display, held simultaneously with race.

Race called off after accident, rest of event cancelled.

Location: Hämeenlinna or Tavastehus (Swedish name), Finland.

This accident remains the worst involving a helicopter, in the history of Finnish aviation.

My newspaper source: Danish newspaper Aarhuus* Stiftstidende, May 7, 1984 pp. 1-2.

---

* = Not a typo, Århus was spelled Aarhuus, in the old-fashioned way.

There was another pic of the fatal accident of Michael Whitehead, slightly different from the existing one:

This case is still not on mmorg.

I don't assume we have submitted this one, yet?
