Bottom post of the previous page:

And now the F2 race has just started. Illot, the championship leader has had a bad weekend and has spun on lap 1 and is out of the race.

Looks like Illot had to lift as an errant car rejoined and an unsighted car behind tailended him into a spin by the look of it.

Anyway, SC is about to come in and we go green again.

Safety cars breed Safety cars as the two leaders (Nissany and Ticktum) get together at Les Combes. Nissany out on the spot Ticktum continues but surely must be damaged. Schwartzmann leads from Ticktum and Deletraz. Ticktum complaining but I think it was as much his fault for trying to go two wide through les Combes on lap 1 when he would have had DRS in a couple of laps.

Well, I don't fault him for trying to go side by side there. I fault him for not just going straight after the initial contact, but instead just going back to the track like an idiot and sliding right across into Nissany.

And his continued bitching on the radio, too. Tantrum needs to realize that he shouldn't even have his racing license any more, so just be glad you're out there.

Also Tsunoda under investigation (it was he who nudged Illot into a spin. I think that was a racing incident caused by the other car (dont know who) rejoining dangerously and causing Illot to brake as mentioned. Tsunoda would not have been expected Illot to lift and was a victim of circumstance.

Why cant the Stewards make instant decisions.... they are now going to review the Ticktum / Nissany incident post race which potentially means post race penalties for a podium battle. That too messy. Deal with it now. You have all the video to make a judgement.

Agreed. Ridiculous penalty for Tsunoda.

Also, no, Zhou is not an idiot trying to pass on the outside of Blanchimont, dear commentator. It's perfectly legit to try and Tantrum (as per usual) just crowded him off the track there. He's gonna take someone out at this rate.

Well, they need to look at the various angles but still... no reason investigation can't be done during the race. Though... looking at it after the race at least seems to imply Ticktum is not going to be penalized.
