It was the #666 Lambo that crashed. It looks like he went in head on but the camera didn't actually capture the main impact only the earlier part of the accident. He might have got collected by another car too. There was an ambulance up there which is worrying.

I found some photos. It seems that Lambo spun to a stop and got hit head on at high speed by one of the Bentleys.

The race has been under a red flag for about 45 minutes now. It seems like a very bad accident...

Good number...I'm looking at the feed now. No real news, but the race is restarting soon. Jürgen Krebs appears to have been the driver.

That's the only "news" we've had. People on Twitter say that there were similar reports on Allan Simonsen when he crashed fatally. Let's hope this isn't the case.

The positive I would say is the damage to the cars, meaning the cars must have taken the impact (unlike Simonsen in which the car almost looked intact).

That being said, picking number 666 is just asking for problems, lol.

Sounds like it's precautionary like when a couple of the touring car drivers were put in induced comas after the qually crash at Croft a while back. Best way of giving them the best chance of recovery.

You don't put people in coma unless you absolutely have to. That is more of a sign of brain damage.
