He is, after a relatively poor Nurburgring outing in WEC now in 2nd position of that World Championship so I guess seeing as the WEC is a bit more prestigious than FE that is where his priorities lie. He also already has one of each of the FE and WEC World titles to his name.
I know which World Title I would value more and it aint all electric powered, (yes I know WEC has some electrical power but only in the hybrid. It has a real engine as well.).

I see, I think it cost him the championship.

It impacted his title bid but it wasn't the defining moment. Buemi won 6 out of the first 8 races, he was dsq from race 7. He missed the Brooklyn races and then crashed heavily in practice for Montreal. The repaired car was underweight so he was disqualified from race 1.

This was a title Buemi and Renault e-Dams should have walked. But due to these few items they handed the title to Audi on a silver platter.

Quite frankly, Buemi's behaviour at times over these three Formula E seasons has been cringe worthy. From his pit lane rants in Montreal on Saturday, to his accusations against Di Grassi this year and during last year's finale in London, to his fist waving and treatment of Bruno Senna at the finale in 2015. Perhaps if he was a little more likeable I'd feel an ounce of sorrow for him. But he isn't, so I don't.
