Bottom post of the previous page:

I thought the same, could be Dubois one. The other car doesn't seem to be a Celica though.

I think i'll open a new topic only for that crash.

Re Hellé-Nice's crash in Sao Paulo: "it's clear that she loses control of the car by herself." In the interview she clearly states that two factors contributed to this crash and the high number of casualties: no safety, with the crowd only held back by a rope and the fact that the driver in front whom she was closing on and was about to overtake veered to the left of the track (refusing to let her go by, presumably causing her to brake and to lose control, instead of colliding with him, which would probably have had even worse consequences). Verdict: machismo and irresponsibility and the chief causes of this crash.

Thanks for the explanation.
You know, watching the video only, it looked like she simply lost control of the car.

It seems the uploader took all the stuff he put into his video from us.
The Mignot-De Lathuy photo was posted here by Cheeveer at my request.

I've asked him in the comments, he use the forum as a source (and so do i, but at least i've shared a lot of what i've in my hard disk)

It is. I'll upload it now.

This is not the version the pics were taken from:

http://www.the-fastlane.co.uk/images/Benhuset/1936ulsterTTfatal.mp4

The other is probably a British Pathé video. I'm sure I've got that one, as well. Will check tomorrow. Two of the pics in the CPdB do not appear to have anything to do with the accident, at all.

No, British Pathé's footage is the same. I don't know if there is a second video.

BTW, I think you're right, and I'm convinced that there must be another video, and that the top pic in the CPdB is in fact a frame from that. It's got that exact look of a blow-up of a frame from movie footage, which I've seen many times before. The second photo from top is in very good quality, and is probably a photograph.

The Lewis-Evans aftermath, an old PTRACER capture, if I am not mistaken:

Let us know when you've got everything you need.

Thank you! could be interesting finding the one from Atlanta 1979, i know for sure that a video exists. Multiple forum has posted it from the same getty images link that is now expired, someone has to have it.

The video containing both 1950 Mille Miglia fatal accidents is this:

The fatal wrecks of the 1919 Indy 500 are here:

http://www.the-fastlane.co.uk/images/Benhuset/lecocqandthurman.flv

The wreck at 2:51, looks like the #22 car, which was Wilbur D'Alene, non-fatal. Motorsportrace posted a pic, which is offline, I probably have it.

Thurman's car was #18, but appears in video to be #8. It's clearly #18 when seen from other angles.

LeCocq's car there is no doubt about, as it burned.
