I was wondering if anything of this sort exists?

The cars look rather nice, and I assume the line-up involved some big names.

Try typing BMW M1 Procar into the forum search bar.... (With approaching 350,000 posts on the forum you might be surprised at the info here on site)..... there are about 4 pages of posts will come up with reference to Procar, some more informative than others, but you get my point. This is one I found that said a bit although the pics seem to have gone.

thanks buddy. But it seems that videos of each and every round of 79-80 are rare :-(

No one had VCRs in those days.... they had not really arrived. Even in 1982 less than 10% of UK households had access to a VCR recorder. We were still in the dark ages tech-wise back then.

Video cameras were just a twinkle in some inventors eye so no recordings by spectators other than some that had cine cameras! Plus Motor Racing TV coverage was pretty much limited to the GPs not the supports.

There were some VCR's in those days. Sony (1975), JVC (1976?) and Philips (1979) all had one, but like Everso, i doubt many had one.

Pretty awesome. I have only seen two rounds, the 1979 Donington and 1980 Oesterreichring race. One of Jesper’s VHS tapes he sent me once had some more footage from Monaco too but it was pretty poor quality.
