We should say a little prayer today as we have lost the 'Queen of Soul' after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 76.
I had read recently she was gravely ill.

I loved pretty much everything she did. And I'd put her 4th in the list of all-time greatest singers, behind Freddie (who was a big Aretha Franklin fan), George Michael and Michael Jackson.

Actually Freddie talked about her a bit back in the 80s...



...and even tried to sing a bit like her back at a gig (1:26):



I wish I'd got to see her live.
