Which one are you talking about? the new one? (must admit I've never listened to it) or The Ivory Tower (from the Never Ending Story) they used in the past?

I thought it was 'The Chain' by Fleetwood Mac. Well a section of it anyway. (from c. 3 minutes into the song clip)

Maybe I have misunderstood your question, because you have mentioned 'The Grid' music. Do they have a different sound clip for the Grid announcement?

*Sebastian, Lance is faster than you... do you understand?*

*I married Miss Right. Just didn't know her first name was Always

that's correct. Sometimes it would be played longer, depending on how much time they spent discussing the grid for the GP. For example, the 1989 Brazilian GP tune plays for very long.

I absolutely adore this piece of music, so thanks for all the info!

Wow I can't believe I remember you asking this and it was 5 years ago. Because I just accidentally found the song you were referring to and thought it would answer your question.

King of the Race Track, Destroyer of Tyres, Breaker of Lap Records

What an awesome find, thanks @PTRACER

Listening to that, it wouldn’t sound out of place as part of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells ll.
