Not all that good to be honest, I hope this isn't the best song off their new album.

Well that was ok, nothing more nothing less. Sounds a bit throwback to be honest. It could have been a track that was chopped from their first album. If that was Justin Hawkins singing at the beginning, his voice was weird. Not like him at all.

Whilst watching the Superbowl last night this advert appeared. Both me and wife had to double take when we realised who it was... :amazed:

Awesome. I hope The Darkness make it in the US and A. They're on tour there at the moment, playing to REALLY small crowds. They filled up the Hammersmith Apollo last November though.

The Darkness lost their new drummer already (who was one of those girl things, ew) and they've just announced their replacement. It's Rufus Taylor son of Queen drummer Roger Taylor :wow: He's a talented kid, saw him play alongside his dad several times now

Shame their new music sucks though. The album I was posting about in this thread turned out pretty wank and their new one sounds even worse.

Maybe someone here will like this. I don't.

Silly stuff, not sure their Metal spoof is all that funny, anymore, really. The v. good main riff is Kyuss http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_Desert_Scene , the middle part very '80s generic, melodic US Metal-style. Metal Wolf, sort of thing. Net result is a confused mix of silly shit that will probably appeal to The Darkness-fans. Them Danes weren't barbarians, tho, we was vikings. They're a band for kids and nerdy Metal wannabes, but at least they're not posing as posers. They really are posers. Used to be good for a larf, not so sure anymore...

Old German band of same name recorded some passable Thrash albums in the late '80s, this was a pretty good one.
