Today I was lucky to meet Prof. Dr. Bernd Rosemeyer. He spent over 30min to talk to me about his famous parents and his future-abitions and to sign some of my books and cards... It was a great day for me and I'll post pictures and the full story when I'm back home from a trip on wednesday.
EDIT: a little preview: myself (anticipated on the left) next to Bernd Rosemeyer. In the background you can see a Klemm-aeroplane that Elly Beinhorn used to fly.

Hi everybody ,
last weekend (friday-sunday) there was an automobile-fair in Dresden, the "auto mobil". On thursday I read in the local newspaper that Bernd Rosemeyer Jr. will be the patron of that fair and that he'll be there to open and represent it.
I decided to go there and to take some books and some self-made autograph-cards with me to have them signed and maybe even to get the chance to talk to him (maybe 2 or 3 minutes). I arrived at 11.00am on friday and went roughly through the fair-halls. I already noticed the stand with the race-cars and the nicely-made information-boards. Then a velo-taxi with "VIP" crossed my way and Bernd Rosemeyer Jr. was in it - he was shown the fair... nobody really recognized him or payed attention to him - quite weird as he's a well known person (in "our" sphere). I followed the velo-taxi to the Rosemeyer-Beinhorn stand where he left the velo-taxi and had a look at the posters on the walls with pictures of his parents. Than he sat down and browsed through some papers with his opening-speech in the evening. He is 70 years old and in very good condition - he looks much younger and is only limping because of a torn Achilles tendon.
As he was alone I asked him whether it's possible to have quick chat. He was very friendly and asked me to sit down next to him... ***to be continued***
Here're some of the photos I took...
Bernd Rosemeyer Jr. at the table where we talked
The plane "Klemm" that his mother used to fly
The table where we sat with the information-boards in the background
Bernd Rosemeyer Jr. during an interview for TV

Signed books and cards

I'll post some impressions from the talk we had in a few days - I haven't much time at the moment.

It's a shame he never knew his father, a legendary name now.
