Young talent sprintcar driver Darryl Krikke died in 1997 driving home after a race meeting in Australia. His cousin Jason was also killed in the crash, but I haven't been able to determine whether he was also actively involved in motorsport. In any case, I mentioned him in the entry for Darryl in the Lest We Forget-section of MM.org. Tribute article:

Actually, that's on purpose - all racing fatalities are kept out, be it boat, plane , car or motorcycle.CevertAngel wrote:You keep leaving out DIDIER PIRONI (F1 Ferrari Driver and former Teammate of Gilles Villeneuve)...........Who died in a Motor Boat Race.............

Mieczyslaw Polukard (born 1930 - died 25 October 1985)
The first Polish speedway racer who competed in the World Championships (1959) was killed after being struck by a young rider during a training in Bydgoszcz. Polukard worked as a coach at the time of his death.
Edward Jancarz (born 20 August 1946 - died 11 January 1992)
Probably the best Polish speedway rider in the 70's. A ten-time veteran of World Championships (bronze medal in 1968). Since his retirement in 1986 he battled with alcohol abuse and family violence. He was stabbed to death by his second wife.
